I'm Blogging...

Here goes...

So, my very wonderful friend, Shellie, started blogging and I was reading through several of her posts and realized that this would be a great way to keep family and friends updated on the everyday happenings of the Pettit family! My, first run on sentence! Anyway, I think this will be a wonderful way to record some of the things that I always say I need to write down and then fail to do so. So, here I am, here you are, here we go a blogging.

Today is a home day. I absolutely love these days when I get to be home with my two little ones all day long, no outside jobs today. We woke up this morning, ate a small breakfast, changed into some clean clothes and headed for the gym. Kellan loves the Kids Club at Golds. This is just about the only time, other than Sunday school, where he gets to be completely surrounded by several kids his age. He has such a blast. I love it too. They are great with Ella and I definitely feel at peace when I leave them. Today I did the spinning class. Let me just tell you now, if you haven't done spinning and you are looking for a quick way to feel out of shape and challenged about your health then I highly recommend spinning! It's for crazy people, but I go because it kicks my butt (literally).

Later on this morning when we were home and I was doing the dishes Kellan came up to me with one of his play shot guns and said to me in a whisper, "come on we have to shoot the robots." Yes, he loves to play with his guns, thanks to his grandpa Terry. So, I spent the next several minutes on my hands and knees whispering with my two year old about robots and trying to track them down somewhere in our house. Oh, the imagination he has.

Ella started walking! She is all over the place. Only a few days ago she would take one or two steps on her own and then loose confidence and fall over. Now she sits in the middle of the floor, pushes her little butt up in the air and lifts herself up and waddles all over. It is quite honestly the cutest thing I have ever seen. I just love this stage. The only thing I worry about is her loosing balance near sharp objects, like the coffee table corners.

Brian is doing well, working quite a bit lately. He is a supervisor at Best Buy and every year around the end of October I say goodbye to seeing him more than five minutes a day...and sometime in January I get him back again. The retail world is crazy this time of year and Best Buy takes advantage of it by opening their doors earlier and closing them much later than normal. Anyway, he is also planning on going back to school in the Spring! He is hoping to achieve a degree in CIS. I am so excited for him.

I am a working mom to say the least. I am working part time for a non-profit organization here in Larimer County called Neighbor to Neighbor teaching the first time home buyer classes. A little strange seeing as how I am starting to go through the process on my own for the first time...those who don't buy - teach! I love my job, I love teaching, it's been challenging but fun. I also serve tables a couple nights a week at Rock Bottom Brewery. Serving is always a quick way to bring in a little extra dough. It's a great company and I certainly enjoy all of the interaction there. I graduated from CSU in May of 2005 with my Marketing Degree, had Kellan that same spring and then Ella came along last year in October. We have been busy around here.

Ok, Brian just walked in so I am signing off.
