So, for those of you that listen to Rush, you will know what his operation chaos is, but I was trying to think of a way to describe our big move and that is all I could think of...Operation Chaos. We had so much help from our dear family and some very wonderful friends and the move was a huge success. After two days of moving and five days of unpacking, we are in our new home! I have never been happier! Kellan and Ella can run and jump and yell and laugh and we never have to worry about who can hear us. It gives Brian and I great joy knowing that our kids have a home of their own. The only reason I call all of it chaos, is because we had Kellan's 3rd birthday right after we moved and Easter weekend was the following weekend. I love the business, but now it is good to settle back in to our routine.
Easter is by far my favorite holiday. It is a time to reflect on my relationship with Christ, to love on my family and to realize what it is that God is wanting me to realize...hopefully that makes sense. Anyway, this last week was AMAZING! God is so good and faithful in so many ways. I have seen his mercy again and again and it never gets old. During Holy Week our church put on a display that you could walk through and reflect on all that Christ went through so long ago. We have done this for the last several years and this year there was something that was different and really stuck with me. At one of the last stations, you would read several passages from the bible about how Christ was wounded for our transgressions and then you place your hands in a bin full of ashes, rub them until they are black and then walk over to a large white cross and place your ash covered hands on a blemish free cross. As I was kneeling there, all I could do was thank my savior for the sacrifice he made for someone as simple and messed up as me. Praise God for the amazing grace he gives, for the blessings he bestows and for the love that he gives us to share with the world. I hope Easter was special for you this year too.
